The user can identify the plugins by a Facebook logo or the notice “Facebook Social Plugin”. For a full list of all social plugins and their appearance please consult developers.facebook.com/plugins.
When the user visits a page of our website that contains a social plugin, the user’s browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. This occurs even if the user does not have a Facebook account or is not logged in to Facebook at the time.
If the client is logged in to Facebook, the visit can be assigned to his Facebook account. If the client interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking “Like”, or entering a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from the client’s browser directly to Facebook and stored by it. The information can also be published on Facebook, and shown to the users Facebook friends.
If the client is a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to connect the data concerning his visit to our website with his member data already stored by Facebook, the user has to log off Facebook before entering our website.
