Our whole-piece Sharp Manchego Cheese comes from Artequeso, the artisan company of Finca La Prudenciana that works under the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).

Finca La Prudenciana was created at the beginning of the 1950s, but it was not until 1984 that it began to produce Manchego cheeses with the PDO and, in this way, added value to its products.

This Spanish cheese factory has received a multitude of awards and combines livestock farming with agriculture. Its main characteristic is the combination of natural and traditional methods with new technology, thus helping to maintain the high-quality standards that Artequeso cheeses are known for.

Moreover, Artequeso is protected by the Protected Designation of Origin, which means that the corresponding Manchego cheeses must be made in accordance with certain guidelines laid down by the Regulating Council, such as the Manchegan sheep breed, the only breed permitted for production. It is therefore not permitted to mix milk from other animals or other breeds of sheep.

Advice: It is recommended to keep at a temperature between 4º and 12ºC. Before consumption, remove the packaging and leave at ambient temperature (20ºC). Once cut, it is recommended to spread olive oil on the cut side of the cheese, wrap and refrigerate.
